Dispatch 1: Completion of Stage Acoustic and Lighting Modernization

Published: September 12, 2026 • Author: Technical Logistics Committee • Category: Infrastructure & Facilities

Following two months of intensive volunteer labor and the generous allocation of municipal facility access, the CONSEIL PARENT ELEVE FEDERATION CORNEC is proud to announce the formal completion of the 2026 Stage Acoustic Modernization at the École Publique multipurpose hall. Funded through a combination of departmental cultural grants from the Conseil Départemental des Côtes-d'Armor and statutory association reserves, this project elevates the school's performance capabilities to new heights.

Volunteer stagehands installed 18 high-efficiency acoustic absorption panels along the hall's perimeter walls, dramatically reducing reverberation and echo during student dramatic recitals and choral performances. In addition, our electrical team replaced obsolete tungsten stage lights with an array of programmable, energy-efficient LED fixtures, cutting power draw by 72% while eliminating burn hazards for young actors backstage. Certified safety inspections were conducted in full compliance with public building (ERP) regulations, ensuring that all upcoming student assemblies will take place in a secure, state-of-the-art environment.

With the commencement of the new school term, our extracurricular arts workshops are officially returning with expanded capacity and exciting new artistic modules. Starting the first week of October, weekly workshops will run on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons immediately following regular classes.

This autumn's visual arts atelier, guided by volunteer mentors, will center on the theme "Landscapes of the Arguenon: Exploring Brittany's Flora and Heritage." Students will experiment with natural plant-based pigments, pressed leaf printmaking, and collaborative clay modeling. Meanwhile, our drama improvisation workshop will prepare students for an upcoming winter storytelling recital, focusing on building vocal confidence and expressive movement.

As always, 100% of materials, instruments, and protective overalls are provided free of charge by the association, ensuring complete equity of access. Information packets have been distributed through classroom liaison folders, and parents are invited to return registration slips by September 26.

The resolution also approves a municipal operating allocation of €3,200 dedicated to covering facility heating, sanitary maintenance, and certified fire extinguisher inspections during after-school operating hours. In his remarks to the municipal council, Mayor of Trémeur commended the federation: "The tireless dedication of our parent volunteers ensures that the children of Trémeur receive cultural opportunities rivaling those of any urban center. Our monthly "Café Parents" breakfasts return on Saturday, October 4, from 09:30 to 11:30 in the École Publique refectory. This opening session of the academic year is dedicated to welcoming newly relocated families and kindergarten (maternelle) parents who are navigating the public school system for the first time.

Experienced parent delegates will be present to answer practical questions regarding school bus routes, morning childcare services (garderie), school meal dietary accommodations, and procedures for requesting specialized educational assistance (AESH). Hot coffee, herbal infusions, and fresh pastries from Trémeur's local artisan bakery will be provided free to all attendees. Childcare will be supervised on-site with quiet coloring and reading corners.

Dispatch 5: Environmental Stewardship & School Garden Restoration

Published: August 14, 2026 • Author: Environmental Education Track • Category: Ecological Education

In partnership with the Trémeur communal gardening collective, our association is coordinating a community restoration of the public school's outdoor educational garden. Scheduled for Saturday, September 20, this volunteer working bee will construct raised timber planter beds, install a rainwater harvesting cistern for student science demonstrations, and plant indigenous pollinator-friendly shrubs native to the Côtes-d'Armor.

This hands-on ecological project will serve as an outdoor living laboratory throughout the upcoming school year, directly supporting science curriculum units on biodiversity, seasonal life cycles, and sustainable food production. Parents and children are invited to bring gardening gloves and join our friendly team for a morning of joyful outdoor collaboration followed by a shared communal picnic.
