At CONSEIL PARENT ELEVE FEDERATION CORNEC, every single breakthrough in our community—from a timid child discovering their voice on a lighted stage to a newly arrived family finding supportive neighbors—happens because of dedicated volunteers. Volunteering with our association is not about filling tedious shifts; it is about actively shaping the environment in which our children grow, learn, and form their earliest memories of community solidarity.
We welcome individuals from every stage of life: working parents, retired artisans, local educators, university students home for the semester, and residents who simply believe that rural public schools deserve vibrant, flourishing cultural programs. You do not need professional pedagogical certification to make a profound difference. What matters most is your kindness, your reliability, and your desire to invest in our collective future.
Five Open Volunteer Tracks for the 2026 Academic Season
To ensure that every volunteer finds a role that aligns with their unique passions, skills, and personal availability, our operations are organized across five specialized tracks:
Track 1: Arts & Creative Workshop Mentors
Work alongside experienced lead educators to facilitate our weekly after-school ateliers in visual arts, clay sculpture, theater games, or music rhythm. Mentors assist with material distribution, guide small groups through creative exercises, offer patient encouragement to hesitant students, and help maintain an inspiring, joyful classroom atmosphere.
Commitment: 1.5 to 2 hours weekly (Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays, 16:30–18:30).
Track 2: Performance Stage Technicians & Stagehands
Support our multipurpose school stage venue. Volunteers assist with stage assembly, configure acoustic baffling curtains, position LED lighting fixtures, test wireless microphones, and operate audio consoles during school recitals and civic assemblies. Ideal for individuals with technical curiosity, carpentry skills, or audiovisual experience.
Commitment: 3 to 4 hours per month, concentrated during dress rehearsals and public school recitals.
Track 3: Parent Hospitality & Community Ambassadors
Be the welcoming face of our school community. Ambassadors organize our monthly "Café Parents" breakfasts, prepare tea and coffee, welcome newly registered families, distribute multilingual informational packets, and facilitate peer-to-peer dialogues. This track plays a vital role in reducing parental isolation and fostering neighborhood cohesion.
Commitment: 2 hours on the first Saturday morning of each month.
Track 4: Field Outing & Educational Chaperones
Help supervise students during off-site cultural visits to regional museums, nature trails along the Arguenon river valley, and local municipal libraries. Chaperones enforce safety rules, assist children during transport transitions, and ensure that every participant stays engaged and accounted for.
Commitment: Occasional half-days (3 to 4 Saturdays or Wednesdays per academic year).
Track 5: Administrative, Communications & Grant Support
Help keep our non-profit association running smoothly behind the scenes. Volunteers assist with drafting assembly minutes, maintaining physical archives, preparing public grant application dossiers, taking event photography, or reviewing accounting ledgers with our volunteer audit commission.
Commitment: Flexible remote or in-person work (1 to 2 hours weekly, self-scheduled).
Our Volunteer On-Boarding Protocol & Child Safety
Because our association works directly with children and vulnerable youth, we adhere strictly to French national child safeguarding standards (Protection des Mineurs) and legal protocols established by the Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale. Our transparent 4-step onboarding protocol protects both students and volunteers:
